Most recently, our president receives a docteur honoris causa

The President of La Bible en ses Traditions AISBL, and Director of the French Ecole Biblique et Archéologique de Jérusalem, Fr. Jean Jacques Pérennès, has been awarded an honorary doctorate by the Faculty of Theology of the University of Fribourg.
It was conferred on 15 November 2021. The day before, the conference paper he had prepared, read by Jean-Michel Poffet, former director of the École Biblique, was entitled: “Louis Massignon et le dialogue islamo-chrétien”. It can be read on the website dedicated to Louis Massignon.

On the occasion of his visit, the Grand Chancellor of the École Biblique, Fr. Gerard Timoner, Master of the Order of Preachers, blessed the “strategic plan” for the École Biblique (and for the Bible in its Traditions), which has been developed over the past months. This is a great encouragement to move forward!
