1 YHWH reigneth; He is clothed in majesty; YHWH is clothed, He hath girded Himself with strength; yea, the world is established, that it cannot be moved.
title For the day before the Sabbath, when the land was first inhabited, the praise of a Song by David.
1 The Lord reigns; he has clothed himself with honour: the Lord has clothed and girded himself with strength; for he has established the world, which shall not be moved.
2 Thy throne is established of old; Thou art from everlasting.
2 My throne is prepared from of old. You are from everlasting.
3 The floods have lifted up, O YHWH, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their roaring.
3 The rivers have lifted up, O Lord, the rivers have lifted up their voices,
3 The rivers are full flowing, O LORD; the rivers have lifted up their voice; the rivers are flowing with purity.
4 Above the voices of many waters, the mighty breakers of the sea, YHWH on high is mighty.
4 at the voices of many waters: the billows of the sea are wonderful: the Lord is wonderful in high places.
4 The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.
5 Thy testimonies are very sure, holiness becometh Thy house, O YHWH, for evermore.
5 Your testimonies have been made exceedingly trustworthy. Sanctity befits your house, O Lord, with length of days.
