O clap your hands, all ye peoples; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

Clap your hands, all ye nations; shout to God with a voice of exultation.

All nations, clap your hands. Shout joyfully to God with a voice of exultation.

For YHWH is most high, awful; a great King over all the earth.

For the Lord most high is terrible; he is a great king over all the earth.

Ps46:2  For the Lord is exalted and terrible: a great King over all the earth.

He subdueth peoples under us, and nations under our feet.

Ps46:3  He has subjected the peoples to us and subdued the nations under our feet.

For he has subdued the Gentiles under us, and the nations under our feet.

He chooseth our inheritance for us, the pride of Jacob whom He loveth. Selah

He has chosen out his inheritance for us, the beauty of Jacob which he loved. Pause.

He has chosen us for the inheritance, and for the glory of Jacob whom he loved.

God is gone up amidst shouting, YHWH amidst the sound of the horn.

Ps46:5  God ascends with jubilation, and the Lord with the voice of the trumpet.

Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

Ps46:6  Sing psalms to our God, sing psalms. Sing psalms to our King, sing psalms.

For God is the King of all the earth; sing ye praises in a skilful song.

God reigneth over the nations; God sitteth upon His holy throne.

Ps46:8  God will reign over the peoples. God sits upon his holy throne.

The princes of the peoples are gathered together, the people of the God of Abraham; for unto God belong the shields of the earth; He is greatly exalted.

The rulers of the people are assembled with the God of Abraam: for God’s mighty ones of the earth have been greatly exalted.

Ps46:9  The leaders of the peoples have been gathered together by the God of Abraham. For the strong gods of the earth have been exceedingly exalted.
