26  And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land.

Nm13:27  And they proceeded and came to Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel, to the wilderness of Pharan Cades; and they brought word to them and to all the congregation, and they shewed the fruit of the land

Nm13:27  And they went to Moses and Aaron, and to the entire assembly of the sons of Israel in the desert of Paran, which is in Kadesh. And speaking to them, and to the entire multitude, they showed them the fruits of the land.

27  And they told him, and said: 'We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.

Nm13:28  and they reported to him, and said, We came into the land into which thou sentest us, a land flowing with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.

Nm13:28  And they explained, saying: “We went into the land, to which you sent us, which, it is true, flows with milk and honey, as one can know by these fruits.

28  Howbeit the people that dwell in the land are fierce, and the cities are fortified, and very great; and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.

Nm13:29  Only the nation that dwells upon it is bold, and they have very great and strong walled towns, and we saw there the children of Enach.

Nm13:29  But it has very strong occupants, and the cities are great and also walled. We saw the race of Anak there.

29  Amalek dwelleth in the land of the South; and the Hittite, and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, dwell in the mountains; and the Canaanite dwelleth by the sea, and along by the side of the Jordan.'

30  And Caleb stilled the people toward Moses, and said: 'We should go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.'

Nm13:31  And Chaleb stayed the people from speaking before Moses, and said to him, Nay, but we will go up by all means, and will inherit it, for we shall surely prevail against them.

Nm13:31  During these events, Caleb, to restrain the murmuring of the people who rose up against Moses, said, “Let us ascend and possess the land, for we will be able to obtain it.”

31  But the men that went up with him said: 'We are not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.'

Nm13:32  But the men that went up together with him said, We will not go up, for we shall not by any means be able to go up against the nation, for it is much stronger than we.

Nm13:32  Yet truly, the others, who had been with him, were saying, “By no means are we able to ascend to this people, because they are stronger than we are.”

32  And they spread an evil report of the land which they had spied out unto the children of Israel, saying: 'The land, through which we have passed to spy it out, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of great stature.

Nm13:33  And they brought a horror of that land which they surveyed upon the children of Israel, saying, The land which we passed by to survey it, is a land that eats up its inhabitants; and all the people whom we saw in it are men of extraordinary stature.

Nm13:33  And before the sons of Israel they disparaged the land, which they had inspected, saying: “The land, which we viewed, devours its inhabitants. The people, upon whom we gazed, were of lofty stature.

33  And there we saw the Nephilim, the sons of Anak, who come of the Nephilim; and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.'

Nm13:34  There, we saw some monsters among the sons of Anak, of the race of giants; by comparison with them, we seemed like locusts.”

33  And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. And they are complaining, sons of Israel, in tents of them. And they are saying: LORD hates us because he brought us out of the land of Egypt to give us in hand of the Amorites to destroy us. How we will ascend, and brothers of us and loads of us? And in their hearts they were saying: great and many they are, and the cities great and built up in heavens. And moreover sons of Nephim we saw there. And he is saying Moses to Israel: not you shall be afraid and not you shall fear them as LORD God is the one going before you. He shall fight for you as he did for you in Egypt before your eyes, and in the wilderness that you see. He will lift you up, the LORD God, as the man lifts up son of him, in all the way which you will go until you come to this place. And speaking so you are not trusting in LORD God, the one going before you. To seek out for you the place of the encampment. In fire by night to meet you in way that you go, and in the cloud by day.
