It would be better for him if a millstone were around his neck, and he be cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

It were well for him if a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.

It were better for him that an assÆ millstone were hanged on his neck, and he thrown into the sea, than cause one of these little ones to stumble.

Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.

Be attentive to yourselves. If your brother has sinned against you, correct him. And if he has repented, forgive him.

And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day he returns, saying, 'I repent,' you shall forgive him."

So YHWH said, "If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and be planted in the sea,' and it would obey you.

And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye would say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou rooted up, and be thou planted in the sea; and it would obey you.

He said to them, If you have faith, even as a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, Be uprooted and planted in the sea; it would obey you.

And which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, 'Come and recline [to eat]'?

But who is there of you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say unto him, when he is come in from the field, Come straightway and sit down to meat;

Now which of you has a servant who ploughs or feeds sheep, and if he should come from the field, would say to him, Enter in and sit down?

Does he thank that servant because he did the things having been commanded? I think not.

Would he be grateful to that servant, for doing what he commanded him to do?

Why, will that servant receive praise, because he did what he was commanded to do? I do not think so.

10  So likewise you, whenever you do all the things having been commanded to you, say, 'We are unprofitable servants. We have done what we ought to do.' "

10  Even so ye also, when ye shall have done all the things that are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants; we have done that which it was our duty to do.

10  I think not. So too, when you have done all these things that have been taught to you, you should say: ‘We are useless servants. We have done what we should have done.’ ”
