10 His watchmen are all blind, without knowledge; they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; raving, lying down, loving to slumber.
10 See how they are all blinded: they have not known; they are dumb dogs that will not bark; dreaming of rest, loving to slumber.
10 All that are blind can see, but they know not; they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; they see, but they lie down and slumber.
11 Yea, the dogs are greedy, they know not when they have enough; and these are shepherds that cannot understand; they all turn to their own way, each one to his gain, one and all.
11 Yea, they are insatiable dogs, that known not what it is to be filled, and they are wicked, having no understanding: all have followed their own ways, each according to his will.
11 And these very imprudent dogs have never known satisfaction. The shepherds themselves do not know understanding. All have turned aside in their own way, each one to his own avarice, from the highest even to the least
12 'Come ye, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to-morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.'
12 “Come, let us take wine, and be filled by inebriation. And as it is today, so shall it be tomorrow and for a long time.”
12 Come, they say, let us get wine, and let us fill ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow shall be as this day, and much more will be left over for us.
57:1 The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart, and godly men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.
1 See how the just man has perished, and no one lays it to heart: and righteous men are taken away, and no one considers: for the righteous has been removed out of the way of injustice.
57:2 He entereth into peace, they rest in their beds, each one that walketh in his uprightness.
2 His burial shall be in peace: he has been removed out of the way.
2 And when peace comes, they shall relax, and make progress.
