21 But YHWH was with Joseph, and showed kindness unto him, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
21 And the Lord was with Joseph, and poured down mercy upon him; and he gave him favour in the sight of the chief keeper of the prison.
21 But the Lord was with Joseph, and, having mercy on him, he gave him favor in the sight of the leader of the prison,
22 And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it.
22 And the chief keeper of the prison gave the prison into the hand of Joseph, and all the prisoners as many as were in the prison; and all things whatsoever they do there, he did them.
22 who delivered into his hand all the prisoners who were held in custody. And whatever was done, was under him.
23 The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand, because YHWH was with him; and that which he did, the YHWH made it to prosper.
23 Because of him the chief keeper of the prison knew nothing, for all things were in the hand of Joseph, because the Lord was with him; and whatever things he did, the Lord made them to prosper in his hands.
23 Neither did he himself know anything, having entrusted all things to him. For the Lord was with him, and he directed everything that he did.
40:1 And it came to pass after these things, that the butler of the king of Egypt and his baker offended their lord the king of Egypt.
1 While these things were going on, it happened that two eunuchs, the cupbearer of the king of Egypt, and the miller of grain, offended their lord.
40:2 And Pharaoh was wroth against his two officers, against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers.
2 And Pharao was wroth with his two eunuchs, with his chief cupbearer, and with his chief baker.
2 And Pharaoh, being angry with them, (now the one was in charge of the cupbearers, the other of the millers of grain)
40:3 And he put them in ward in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound.
3 sent them to the prison of the leader of the military, in which Joseph also was a prisoner.
40:4 And the captain of the guard charged Joseph to be with them, and he ministered unto them; and they continued a season in ward.
4 And the chief keeper of the prison committed them to Joseph, and he stood by them; and they were some days in the prison.
4 But the keeper of the prison delivered them to Joseph, who ministered to them also. Some little time passed by, while they were held in custody.
