1 These are the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and of the sons who were born to them after the great flood.
2 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

5 Of these were the isles of the nations divided in their lands, every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.
5 It was from these that the people were divided into the Islands of the Gentiles and their main lands; every one after his language, after their families, in their nations.
6 And the sons of Ham: Cush, and Mizraim, and Put, and Canaan.
7 And the sons of Cush: Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabteca; and the sons of Raamah: Sheba, and Dedan.
8 And Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
8 And then Cush conceived Nimrod; he began to be powerful on the earth.
9 He was a mighty hunter before YHWH; wherefore it is said: 'Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before the YHWH.'
9 He was a giant hunter before the Lord God; therefore they say, As Nebrod the giant hunter before the Lord.
9 And he was an able hunter before the Lord. From this, a proverb came forth: ‘Just like Nimrod, an able hunter before the Lord.’
10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
11 Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and Rehoboth-ir, and Calah,
11 From that land, Assur came forth, and he built Nineveh, and the streets of the city, and Calah,
11 Out of Sinar went forth the Assyrian and built Nineveh, and the city of Rehoboth, and Calah,

13 And Mizraim begot Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
13 And Mesrain begot the Ludiim, and the Nephthalim, and the Enemetiim, and the Labiim,
13 And truly, Mizraim conceived Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, Naphtuhim,
14 and Pathrusim, and Casluhim--whence went forth the Philistines--and Caphtorim.
14 and the Patrosoniim, and the Chasmoniim (whence came forth Phylistiim) and the Gaphthoriim.
15 And Canaan begot Zidon his firstborn, and Heth;
15 And Chanaan begot Sidon his fist-born, and the Chettite,
15 Then Canaan conceived Sidon his firstborn, the Hittite,
16 and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite;
17 and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite;
17 the Hivite, and the Arkite: the Sinite,
18 and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite; and afterward were the families of the Canaanite spread abroad.
19 And the border of the Canaanite was from Zidon, as thou goest toward Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest toward Sodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboiim, unto Lasha.
19 And the border of the Canaanites was from river of Egypt, great river Gerat, and until latter waters.
20 These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, in their nations.
20 There were the sons of Cham in their tribes according to their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations.
21 And unto Shem, the father of all the children of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth, to him also were children born.
21 And to Sem himself also were children born, the father of all the sons of Heber, the brother of Japheth the elder.
21 Likewise, from Shem, the father of all the sons of Heber, the elder brother of Japheth, sons were born.
22 The sons of Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram.
22 Sons of Sem, Elam, and Assur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Cainan.
22 The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram.
23 And the sons of Aram: Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
24 And Arpachshad begot Shelah; and Shelah begot Eber.
24 And Arphaxad begot Cainan, and Cainan begot Sala. And Sala begot Heber.
24 But truly, Arphaxad conceived Shelah, from whom was born Eber.
25 And unto Eber were born two sons; the name of the one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
25 And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth became divided, and his brother’s name was Joktan.
26 And Joktan begot Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah;
26 This Joktan conceived Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, Jerah

28 Eval, and Abimael, and Saba,
28 Obal, Abimael, and Sheba,
29 and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.
29 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab; all these were sons of Joktan.
30 And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest toward Sephar, unto the mountain of the east.
30 And their habitation extended from Messa, as one sojourns, even to Sephar, a mountain in the east.
30 The lands which they inhabited extended from Mesha, which is at the entrance of Sepharvim, a mount in the east.
31 These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations.
31 These were the sons of Sem in their tribes, according to their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations.
32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations; and of these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.
32 These are the tribes of the sons of Noe, according to their generations, according to their nations: of them were the islands of the Gentiles scattered over the earth after the flood.
