18 Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which YHWH thy God giveth thee, tribe by tribe; and they shall judge the people with righteous judgment.
18 You shall appoint judges and magistrates at all your gates, which the Lord your God will give to you, throughout each of your tribes, so that they may judge the people with a just judgment,
19 Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons; neither shalt thou take a gift; for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.
20 Justice, justice shalt thou follow, that thou mayest live, and inherit the land which YHWH thy God giveth thee.
20 You shall justly pursue what is just, so that you may live and possess the land, which the Lord your God will give to you.
20 But you must judge your neighbor righteously, that you may live and go in and inherit the land which the LORD your God gives you.
