And according to Paul's custom, he went in to them, and for three Sabbaths he reasoned with them from the Scriptures,

and Paul, as his custom was, went in unto them, and for three sabbath days reasoned with them from the Scriptures,

Then Paul, according to custom, entered to them. And for three Sabbaths he disputed with them about the Scriptures,

interpreting and pointing out that it was necessary for the Christ to suffer, and to arise from the dead, and [saying ]that "This is the Christ, Jesus, whom I proclaim to you."

opening and alleging that it behooved the Christ to suffer, and to rise again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom, [said he,] I proclaim unto you, is the Christ.

Interpreting and proving that Christ had to suffer, and rise again from the dead; and that he is the same Jesus Christ whom I preach to you.
