27  And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon, in the year that he began to reign, did lift up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison.

27  Truly, it happened that, in the thirty-seventh year of the transmigration of Jehoiachin, the king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, Evilmerodach, the king of Babylon, in the year when he had begun to reign, lifted up the head of Jehoiachin, the king of Judah, from prison.

27  And in the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, Aol-merodach king of Babylon in the first year that he began to reign honored Jehoiachin king of Judah and brought him out of the prison;

28  And he spoke kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon.

29  And he changed his prison garments, and did eat bread before him continually all the days of his life.

30  And for his allowance, there was a continual allowance given him of the king, every day a portion, all the days of his life.

30  And his portion, a continual portion, was given him out of the house of the king, a daily rate for every day all the days of his life.

30  Also, he appointed to him an allowance without ceasing, which also was given to him by the king, for each day, during all the days of his life.
