1 And all the people of Judah took Uzziah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in the room of his father Amaziah.
1 Then all the people of the land took Ozias, and he was sixteen years old, and they made him king in the room of his father Amasias.
2 He built Eloth, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers.
2 He built up Eloth, and he restored it to the dominion of Judah. After this, the king slept with his fathers.
3 Sixteen years old was Uzziah when he began to reign; and he reigned fifty and two years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.
3 Ozias began to reign at the age of sixteen years, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Jechelia of Jerusalem.
3 Uzziah was sixteen years old when he had begun to reign. And he reigned for fifty-two years in Jerusalem. The name of his mother was Jecoliah, from Jerusalem.
4 And he did that, which was right in the eyes of YHWH, according to all that his father Amaziah had done.
5 And he set himself to seek God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the vision of God; and as long as he sought YHWH, God made him to prosper.
5 And he sought the Lord in the days of Zacharias, who understood the fear of the Lord; and in his days he sought the Lord, and the Lord prospered him.
5 And he prayed before the LORD in the days of Zechariah, who taught him in the worship of the LORD, and the LORD prospered all his ways.
