23  having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever.

23  For you have been born again, not from corruptible seed, but from what is incorruptible, from the Word of God, living and remaining for all eternity.

24  For "All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man is as the flower of [the] grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away,

24  For, All flesh is as grass, And all the glory thereof as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower falleth

24  For all flesh is like the grass and all its glory is like the flower of the grass. The grass withers and its flower falls away.

2:1  Therefore having put away all malice, all guile, hypocrisy, envy, and all slanders,

Putting away therefore all wickedness, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,

Therefore, set aside all malice and all deceitfulness, as well as falseness and envy and every detraction.

2:2  as newborn babes, desire the genuine milk of the word, that by it you may grow,

Like newborn infants, desire the milk of reasonableness without guile, so that by this you may increase unto salvation,

And become like newborn babes, and long for the word, as for pure and spiritual milk, that you may grow to salvation by it
