1 Kings 17:2–6

And the word of YHWH came unto him, saying

'Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before the Jordan.

Depart hence eastward, and hide thee by the brook of Chorrath, that is before Jordan.

“Withdraw from here, and go toward the east, and hide at the torrent Cherith, which is opposite the Jordan.

And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.'

And there you shall drink from the torrent. And I have instructed the ravens to feed you there.”

And you shall drink from the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.

So he went and did according unto the word of YHWH; for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before the Jordan.

And Eliu did according to the word of the Lord, and he sat by the brook of Chorrath before Jordan.

Therefore, he went and acted in accord with the word of the Lord. And going away, he settled by the torrent Cherith, which is opposite the Jordan.

And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.
